Finding home as a foreign Finn
Going back to your roots can be a rocky road.
From European metropoles like Amsterdam and Berlin to a Finnish smalltown, my road has taken a 180 on Southern Karelia's icy roads.
Experiencing the place of my childhood summers in winter, digging into rocky ground to mend my roots and finding my voice in my mothertongue has been a great source of inspiration, so I did what I always to: I started writing.
